One-to-One Children & Teen Holistic Therapies

Helping your child manage negative emotions like worry, fear, anxiety, anger and low self-esteem through a combination of techniques, including, Mindfulness, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Reiki, Emotional Freedom Techniques, and Traumatic Release Therapy.

As a Children’s Holistic Therapist, I recommend a minimum of 4 sessions in order for children and parents to optimise the benefits. Each session is usually completed weekly with the parent or guardian in attendance. The sessions can include a combination of therapies for example Mindfulness & Meditation based creative games or crafts together with the use of Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behaviour Techniques, Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping), Colour Therapy & Reiki.

These sessions are based on the child’s needs to help calm any fears, anxiety and worries using coping calming techniques.

The one-to-one sessions are bespoke, led by the child and created specifically for them. Your child will learn strategies to help them to practise mindfulness and meditation independently. They will hopefully gain a greater understanding of why they feel like they do, be able to communicate their feelings in a more positive way and take steps to move forward to live a more positive life. By the end, your child will be equipped with mindful tools that will help them to reduce stressful moments and situations with greater confidence.

Helping children live their lives in a fun and positive way using various holistic therapies and relaxation tools to help manage negative emotions like worry, fear, anxiety, anger and low self-esteem.

These programs will be tailored to the needs of the children within your group. The theme for example could be improving emotional wellbeing, and boosting self-esteem I would discuss your needs before creating a bespoke program. This can be tailored to the number of weeks required by the school or organisation.

They involve a variety of engaging activities: breathing techniques, mindful eating, mindful listening, mindful games, being present “grounding” techniques, making or creating, sounds, mindful colouring and mindful meditations, basic movement and yoga. Children have felt more relaxed, more positive, happier and more refreshed after attending my groups.

Parental Support

Parental Support for kids and teens needing therapy

As a busy parent, I understand the daily stresses of life with juggling work and home life and trying to get the balance just right. Self-care is needed as a priority. If a parent takes care of themselves then they are in a better position to support their children and teenagers.

I offer an empathic approach with the use of various holistic treatments to support parents. These include Reiki, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT Tapping), Mindfulness Cognitive Behaviour (CBT) based tools to help parents overcome any anxiety, stress or fears that they might be going through.
